What Tost emphasized about Remastered
The interview spends real time on the upgrade that ships in a month, not only on Letten. Tost pointed at a combat and ability pass that is meant to be felt immediately: a completely revamped skill tree, more options, and presentation work you can see in the Remastered trailer. Later demos filled that in with retargeting mid-swing, an adaptive camera, new finishers, Sign-led kills, tighter movement, and monster behavior that is not 2015 pathing. Transmog, expanded photo mode, and new Sign effects were in the press snapshot the same day.
He also framed Remastered as the on-ramp for people who only ever finished the base game. Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine became free for existing owners around the show. Tost described Letten as a whole new region with its own identity, filled with quests, monsters, and exploration, and as an uncannily idyllic place with a dark secret underneath. That secret is a witcher problem. The public demos later named it: Dandelion missing after Belleteyn, the de Lettenhove family, cousin Lilla, and the Garden of Thorns. The opening quest is A Bed of Thorns.
